INFRASTUCTURE & FACILITIES
The undergraduate department is housed in the Flint House, which has adequate number of lecture halls a utility room, an office room, a library, and a faculty room. The postgraduate department is in the first floor of the Centenary Hall with 2 classrooms, one faculty room, one office room, and one M.Phil. lecture hall cum media room.
Equipment
The media room of the PG department has modern media equipment such as an LCD projector, DVD player with an advanced home theatre system, and a colour television. Two Overhead Projectors are also in use.
Library
The Department of English boasts of its two exclusive libraries (UG and PG)  apart from the central library of the college. The Undergraduate department library has 2500 books in the separate library room. The library of the postgraduate and research department has more than 8500 books to its credit and it serves the students and the researchers associated with the department. The library is accommodated in a spacious hall and the books are well catalogued. The computerized catalogue in the central library and the conventional card-catalogue in the PG library facilitate library users. Further, the students of the department have easy access to the library of the Study Centre for Indian Literature in English and Translation (SCILET).
