HOSTEL
HISTORY
The foundation stone for Dudley Hall was laid on 17th Feb’1956.It started functioning from the academic year 1957-58. Initially it was called New Hostel. After some years, it was christened as Dudley Hall, after the name of the Reverend, who had intimate with the hostel and college.
Hostel Administration
There is a warden who resides adjacent to the Hall and residential Superintendent. Their availability round the clock helps in developing closer proximity with the resident and better monitoring of their daily cycle. The student residents. run mess, functions under dividing system. Which is elected by the residents. The cabinet is represented by General secretary, prayer secretary, mess secretary and Block representatives.
Warden and superintendent administer the hall in consultation with cabinet and implementation of new programmes is always through the cabinet.
Room Details and Occupants
All the rooms are mosquitoes proof, Sufficient lighting is provided. Washing and drying lines are present. The mess adjacent to the hall can accommodate 80 inmates at a time.

Timing
There are fixed timings for dinning and entertainment. Study time is between 8.30 PMto 10.30 PM on all working days.

Special Programmes For Inmates
  • Spoken English are held to the interested inmates , who like to raise atpar with    urban inmates in communication through English.
     
  • There is a library with general noledge, entrance and competitive examinations    books. It is under the custody of Home secretary.
     
  • All final year inmates are facilitated to acquire two – wheeler and light motor    vehicle licence.
     
  • Interested final year students are facilitated to obtain passport.
     
  • karate classes are regularly held and at the end of academic year green bell is    provided to the qualified learners. To motivatethe inmates to develop their    physical structure, ”Fun Run” is organized at the beginning of every academic    year.
