INFRASTRUCTURE & FACILITIES
State of art infrastructure with LCD facilities , DVD player, 29” Colour Television, Digital Still Camera, Latest Digital Video Camera, High end Computer with Multi media with Pinnacle Liquid 6 version Video Editing Software’s, updated Video library of more than 50 Documentary films and 100 Classics. The department has a full fledged facility for Documentary film making. Latest IT infrastructure with IBM Machines and HP laser Printers, DVD writers, latest Scanner and Chip Readers. A state of art Internet facility is available in the department with special Broadband connection (100 Mbps speed).
Computer Lab
The students can avail various facilities, services and training from the centralized and advanced computer laboratory run by the college.
Library
The department has a magnificent library with special collection of latest Social Work related books (of more than 1250). The themes include Studies in Civil Societies, NGO Management, Human Resource Management and Development, Organisational studies and Developmental studies and Training Manual, Development Studies, Post Colonial Studies, Sociology, Anthropology, Media and Development Communication studies, Studies on Marginalised Groups, Qualitative Research studies, women studies, studies on Medical Sociology, Health and Mental Health, Cultural studies and Subaltern Studies etc. It also subscribes more than six journals including national and International publications which includes Journal of International Social Work, Global Social Policy, Advances in Developing Human Resources and Indian Social and Economic history Review, as well as Newspaper daily’s, Tamil and English magazines.
