ACTIVITIES
Twice the class with staff travelled to local places of interest for picnics. These were social events of great value in terms of development of social and communication skills.
Shansi International Programme donates two wheel chairs to the deserving students every year.
The Oberlin shansi representatives at American College continue to make an outstanding contribution to Jivana Jyoti by teaching Spoken English for one hour every day.
The Extra Curricular Activities are Theatre Therapy work Shop,Personality Developement Programme, Dance, Drama, Students Magazine, Participation in music and cultural programme at inter college level.
Rehabilitation of the physically handicapped has been given top priority by the Central and State Government. An Employment Exchange is set up exclusively for the Physically handicapped and 3% of posts in Government Departments, Public Sector undertakings, local bodies etc., are reserved for them. The Institute provides apprenticeships/ placement services, self-employment guidance, and follow-up to the extent possible.
