Hostel
The entire building including fittings and furniture was estimated at Rs.16 lakhs. The EZE , a protestant development association of Germany, generously agreed to sponsor the entire cost. Ground was broken on November 25th 1991 and the Hostel was dedicated on March 20, 1992.
The Building can accommodate 12 men students and 12 women students in 6  dormitory rooms.Which are fitted with individual beds and steel lockers. In addition, a Staff apartment is provided, so that 24 hours supervision and help is available. Ample latrine and bathing facilities are provided, and all amenities are accessible for physically disabled persons. The level of the entire Hostel is the same as that of the adjacent Classroom building.
The hostel features a large lounge for group and individual activities, and a large dining area also used as a class room. Food services is provided by an adjacent men's Hostel, and served in the Jivana Jyoti dining hall.
We are be grateful to God for the many ways in which this new Hostel has been aided during its construction. Its use will be as exciting and helpful as we all have anticipated in changing the lives of this special group of young people.
Physical Improvements
A new Accessible latrine for gents and one for ladies was constructed for the convenience of day scholars. The Computing Centre was provided with ramp entry so that the wheelchair-bound students can enter with ease. The class room area was fitted with wooden chairs with writing arms, suitable for orthopedic use.
Hardware & Software
The Centre is equipped with 25 Nos. PIII IBM PC. Every System has 128 MB Main memory. each machine has 40 GB Hard Disk Drive and 1.44 Floppy Drive. All the Monitors are 14 inch color Monitors. The Centre has three 3 KVA UPS with 2 hours backup. In view of the unpredictable nature of power supply, all the systems can run through Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPS).
The Center has all major language compliers like C, Fortran ,Pascal, C++, Basic, Java, C#. All the Major software packages like FoxPro, MS-OFFICE, Corel Draw, Page Maker, Photo Shop, Windows, Oracle, Visual Basic and etc.
Library
The Centre has a good collection of books and magazines on Computer and other related fields. This is made full use of by the trainees. Students are allowed to borrow books on a daily basis. The center is getting PC magazines, Tamil Computers magazines, News paper and Employment New.
