I YEAR SEMESTER I
BVC 1501 Introduction to Mass Communication 5hr/wk
This introductory course aims at helping students to trace the history and evolution of communication into mass communication.
 
BVC 1401 Basic Photography 4hr/wk
This course aims at imparting to students the fundamental knowledge on still photography to help them understand the use of this medium for visual communication.
 
BVC 1601 Drawing 6hr/wk
This course aims at helping students understand visual elements and to convert ideas into visual art.
• To understand the elements of visual communication and appreciate the infinite details of environments and one's role in them.
• To study form and structure of animate and in animate objects and understand the process of visual representation of ideas.
 
BVC 1405 Environmental studies 4hr/wk
This course aims at providing a comprehensive knowledge about the environment we live in and the threats to the environment. Students will also be exposed to documentaries made on environmental issues around the globe.
 
BVC 1507 Project I - Drawing 5hr/wk
Each student will have to submit a minimum of 8 works each representing an individual medium and/or style.
I YEAR SEMESTER II
BVC 1602 Principles of Visual Communication 6hr/wk
This course aims at enabling the students to understand and apply the principles of visual communication in designing and developing communication products using visual media.
 
BVC 1604 Film Language 6hr/wk
This course aims at providing understanding of the uniqueness of film language in depth to help students appreciate this art and craft and apply it meaningfully.
 
BVC 1606 Practical Photography 6hr/wk
This course aims at training students for various fields of specializations in photography to facilitate their career choice.
 
BVC 1608 Project II - photography 6hr/wk
Each student will have to submit a minimum of 8 works each representing 8 different prescribed categories. ( Minimum of 8”x10” enlargement)
II YEAR SEMESTER III 
BVC 2610 SUMMER INTERNSHIP I PROJECT III 6hr/wk
To enable the students to have a hands on experience in what they have been learning for a year. Students need to undergo internship training for a period of minimum THREE weeks in media firms like Newspapers, Radio Stations, Local television channels, advertisement Agencies, Photoshop & Digital image processing labs.
 
BVC 2601 Videography 6hr/wk.
This course aims at training students for capturing and editing moving images with digital video camera for various purposes. It also proposes to serve as a preparatory course for cinematography.
 
BVC 2401 Fundamentals of Graphics 4hr/wk
This course aims at training students in basic computer applications, image & text editing and using graphics in print media.
 
BVC 2403 Art and craft of screen writing 4hs/wk
This course aims at training students in the nuances of screen play writing for television, short films and feature films. It creates a space for visually representing ideas, emotions, experiences and stories to targeted audiences.
 
BVC 2405 Theatre and Cinema 4hr/wk
(Theoretical cum practical) This course aims at making students aware of the importance of techniques of theatre, an ancient form of performing art. It enriches the creativity of young filmmakers. Creating a pathway for the young minds to exhibit their talents and enabling them to have hands on experience in producing plays.
II YEAR SEMESTER IV 
BVC 2602 Animation and Graphics 6hr/wk
This course aims at training students in animation and graphics using both 2D and 3D techniques and special effects in film and video production.
 
BVC 2404 Media Theories & Development Communication 4hr/wk
This course aims at enabling the students understand development and also effectively use media tools to communicate alternative pathways to development. To enable the students to understand the evolution, nature and facets of communication.
 
BVC 2406 Advertising 4hr/wk
This course aims at exposing the students to the nature, scope and impact of advertising. It also trains students the visual codes of advertisement and to create effective advertisements.
 
BVC 2410 Fiction and Film 4hr/wk
This course aims at imparting knowledge and skills to help students to adapt fiction into film as many of the worlds best movies are adaptations of fiction.
 
BVC 2608 Project4 – Documentay film making 6hr/wk
Student should be able to produce a documentary film on any theme of interest. The students have to choose any socially relevant theme, do research, work out a production plan, prepare a script, schedule and shoot and edit. The process is very important and would be taken for final assessment.
III YEAR SEMESTER V 
BVC 3610 SUMMER INTERNSHIP II PROJECT V 6hr/wk
To enable the students to have a hands on experience in what they have been learning for a year. Students need to undergo internship training for a period of minimum THREE weeks in media firms like film editing, video editing, 3 dimensional animations, sound recording and engineering, web page designing.
 
BVC 3601 Television Production 6hr/wk
This course aims at imparting knowledge and developing skills in students necessary for producing various programmes for television. It also help them understand the difference between television and film production.
 
BVC 3605 Sound and Image 6hr/wk
This course aims at developing an understanding in students the importance of sound in audio-visual media and also analyse the complementary relationship between sound and image in the process of meaning production.
 
BVC 3609 Multimedia and Web designing 6hr/wk
This course aims at training students in the essentials of multimedia and web designing so as to develop skills for developing hi tech multimedia and web products.
 
BVC 3607 Project VI – Music Video Production 6hr/wk
This course aims at enabling the students to independently produce a music video working with sound, image and music. This would be done by providing necessary inputs by various experts in the field and hands on training.
III YEAR SEMESTER VI 
BVC 3802 Trends in World Cinema 8hrs/wk
This course aims at giving exposure to the students on the various trends in world cinema to enable them to understand the film language in various contexts.
 
BVC 3402 INTERNSHIP 6hr/wk
The internship training takes the students to the next level of growth in their career, by exhibiting the talents. Every student gets an opportunity to work in a firm of his choice, to continue his career in the future.
 
BVC 3808 PROJECT VII SHORT FILM PRODUCTION 16hr/wk
To portray the ability of the students and to exhibit them in the form of a short film, this is of a minimum duration of 30 minutes. The students will be given an option to adapt stories which inspired them or from the practical experiences they gained from the three years of the course. In addition, the individual effort will enrich the students to understand the nuances of Team Work, which ultimately enhance them to be better media professionals in their future endeavors. The production will be screened for the entire college audience followed by discussion, hence providing a platform for the students to understand the positives and the areas of improvement in their work
